John Fitzpatrick next guest will discuss the Great Backyard Bird Count on BirdCallsRadio

Dr. John Fitzpatrick, director Cornell Lab of Ornithology All Rights Reserved.

John Fitzpatrick, executive director of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, will be the guest on Bird Calls Radio this Sunday (Feb. 12) from 1 to 2 p.m. on 1490 WGCH or “Listen Live” above.

Fitzpatrick, who was also guest on Bird Calls back in October, will discuss the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) at length. The GBBC takes place from Feb. 17-20 and Fitzpatrick is hoping to top the 100,000 participant mark this year. Not sure what the GBBC is or if you are eligible to participate? Dr. Fitzpatrick will answer those questions on Sunday. (Hint: You’re eligible and you should do it, regardless of your birding level.) For more information, visit www.birdcount.org

While the focus of the show will be the Great Backyard Bird Count, Fitzpatrick will also discuss a variety of other topics. As I did last time he was on the show, I’ll pepper him with a few quickie bird questions. To listen to his last show on Bird Calls, click here: Oct 8 Bird Calls

As always, thanks for supporting Bird Calls Radio.
